La predicci\u00f3n de la rotura requiere un enfoque espec\u00edfico, ya que difiere seg\u00fan el material y sus propiedades.<\/p><p>El <strong>comportamiento a rotura de los material<\/strong> es muy variado, pero podemos especificar dos comportamientos globales:<\/p><p><strong>Materiales fr\u00e1giles:<\/strong> En este caso la <strong>rotura<\/strong> se produce cuando el material alcanza un <strong>estado tensional m\u00e1ximo<\/strong>. Para poder predecir su rotura es necesario realizar un an\u00e1lisis de tensiones del material.<\/p><p><strong>Materiales d\u00factiles:<\/strong> Son materiales que presenta una gran capacidad de deformaci\u00f3n cuando se supera la tensi\u00f3n de cedencia o l\u00edmite el\u00e1stico. En este caso el an\u00e1lisis de las tensiones no es representativo de su rotura. Para esto materiales la rotura esta asociada a un grado de <strong>deformaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima<\/strong> del material. Este limite de plasticidad puede depender de la anisotrop\u00eda del material y del estado tensional del material. Los <strong>materiales pl\u00e1sticos<\/strong> son un ejemplo de la dependencia de la <strong>deformaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima del estado tensional<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Una vez que se ha determinado si se controla la rotura por las tensiones o por la deformaci\u00f3n es necesario establecer un <strong>criterio de rotura<\/strong>.
